It wasn't anything like that Makishima-san, and I promise Toudou-san didn't scold me or anything. [he pauses.] I... I don't know what I did but I think I might have upset or made Tadokoro-san mad at me...

I didn't! Maybe... maybe I should have gotten him some chocolate though. He did go through a lot of effort to make me cookies. He even drew Kotori-chan's face on three of them! [but right. yes, let's get back on topic.] I just gave him one of the roses I had received from the landlord. Like the one I gave you?? I don't think he liked it though... [cue some nervous laughter.]

[Makishiima's mood is quick to sour, but not because of Onoda's talk about Kotori-chan and his weird anime trash. Tadokoro was upset at something Onoda did for him? That's not allowed.]

You're wrong. He liked it. He's just bad at expressing his feelings.

[And if he didn't, Makishima is going to talk to him right now and demand that he like that rose with all his heart and soul. Onoda gave him a gift. His son gave him a gift. Tadokoro should appreciate those kinds of things!]

[gachas]

[he's glad that this is happening over the phone and not in person. because he probably wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face (or a dry eye for that matter) if makishima was in front of him.] I- I don't think it was that Makishima-san... He said that he didn't... really like the flower or me either... among other things... [he pauses.]

B- But please don't bring this up with Tadokoro-san! I just think he needs some space! I should have asked him what color he wanted. I just... kind of assumed he'd want the red one since his bike has some red in it.

[It's really hard for him not to just turn off his phone and go hunt Tadokoro down so he can punish him in very R18 sorts of ways that are too NSFW for baby Onoda to hear about, but his priority now is to help cheer the princess up, and he's determined to do that.]

I won't tell him, and if you come over, I won't let him know you're here.

I can say that I have a delivery to make and we can go for a ride together. Is that okay?

[he considers it for a few minutes.] But... what if we run into each other?

[but the prospect of being able to ride with makishima-san!!! oh he doesn't know what to do. he doesn't want to inconvenience tadokoro-san.... but he also wants to be able to ride with makishima-san!!!

maybe he could just stay outside... he gives a small sigh.] Okay. But... I think it would be better if I just stayed outside. That way I don't inconvenience anybody...

Stop saying that. No one will be inconvenienced. If they have a problem then they can just talk to me and I'll handle it.

[He's not exactly physically strong so he can't beat anyone up. Makishima will run them over with his bike or... something.]

[gachas]

[this attitude alone could probably scare them. i mean, it's working on onoda, so.] O- Okay! I'm sorry!!

[climber]

[But he's almost scared of everything so that doesn't help prove much.]

What do you want me to bring you to eat?

[gachas]

[s-shhh. that's beside the point.]

Oh... I don't know? I've never been inside Honeybee yet.... [he hums a little in thought.] What kind of stuff do they have to offer?

[climber]

It's a bakery and cafe. Lots of baked goods and sandwiches, some salads and soups too. We have sugar free sweets.

[He'd mention that Tadokoro works there with him but it would probably just upset him again.]

Our baker is really good. We have new yakisoba bread. It's still early, so we have a few fresh fruit tarts left too.

[gachas]

[he perks up a little.] Really? I guess I'll have some yakisoba bread if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

[climber]

You're not trouble. [Said surprisingly affectionately.]

I'll be heading out in a few minutes, and I'll meet you around the fountain. Be careful.

[gachas]

Okay! I'll meet you there soon! [heee he gets to eat with his friend/papa yeaaaa boi, also did you want to turn this into an action log thing O: or do you want it to end here? i'm cool with either /o/]

[okay! onoda will be sitting by the fountain, kicking his legs out and waiting for spiderpapamommy to roll up]

[Onoda doesn't have to wait long, since soon enough Makishima comes by with a special delivery. There's a basket on the front of the bike, only set there whenever he needs to make deliveries and can be easily removed. When he pulls up, he climbs off and begins to open the basket, pulling out a brown paper bag along with a water bottle.]

The bag is insulated so the yakisoba is still warm. I got two, one for each of us. There's a dessert too.

[gachas]

[onoda smiles as he scoots over a little and makes some room for makishima.] Oh? Wow that must be nice! It probably helps for those deliveries, right??

[he perks up even more at the mention of desert. a nice lunch with spiderpapamommy!!!] How has your day been Makishima-san?

[climber]

[After zipping up the basket, Makishima sets the paper bag down beside Onoda before he takes a seat, offering him the water bottle.]

It comes in handy when you want to keep cold things cold and warm things warm. The owner knows I ride fast so there's no problem with anything arriving late, it's just a matter of making it the right temperature on arrival.

[At the second question, Makishima pauses, then reaches out to ruffle Onoda's hair a bit before he begins to reach into the paper bag.]

Things are pretty good. Nothing to complain about. What about you?

[gachas]

Must be nice to be able to incorporate doing what you love with your job. [he smiles as he takes the bottle.] What happens if it's the wrong temperature? [not that it could be, because makishima wouldn't have to worry about that kind of thing. but he is curious!!]

And, well... it's been kind of weird.

[climber]

That's why I took the job. I only know a little bit about baking because of Tadokorocchi, so I can't help very much in the kitchen. But deliveries I can handle. [There isn't exactly anything else he's qualified for. Granted he could have taken a risk and tried to get hired for something he has zero experience in, but for the moment, Makishima is content enough being a delivery person. Not that he needs another excuse to ride his bike more often, but it gives him something to do where otherwise he'd be occupied with his thoughts on the Interhigh.

As he pulls out the packaging with one of the yakisoba, Makishima throws a brief curious look at Onoda before he shrugs and takes a small bite of the bread, waiting until after he's done chewing to answer.]

There's been no problem like that ever. But if customers aren't satisfied, they're offered a refund or a free meal.

[Makishima pushes the bag closed to Onoda to signal he start eating.]

Because you're not used to it yet, right?

[gachas]

[he reaches into the bag and pulls out the yakisoba bread he had bought just for him. he opens the bag, but before he has the opportunity to bite into it he pauses. ah, yeah that'd make sense...] Well it's a good thing you don't have to worry about that kind of thing because you're pretty fast.

[he nods again, ready to take a bite out of the bread but then pauses once more. he knows makishima-san would get mad at him if he wasn't honest... but... he's not sure if he wants to get tadokoro-san in trouble. so- wow, now seems like a good time to bite into that bun!] Oh, uhm, mmhm!
